Phifer SheerWeave Style 2410 has an average openness of only 3%. The openness of a fabric refers to the weave or mesh structure and determines the amount of heat and light that enters a room. A more open fabric allows more heat and light to penetrate through and also allows more vision through the fabric, while tighter weaves block more heat and light while allowing less vision through the fabric. This tighter basketweave is designed expressly for those applications which require a more opaque and nondirectional fabric. Made of vinyl coated fiberglass yarns Style 2410 has approximately 98% UV blockage and provides exceptional heat and glare control, which is superb for windows that are exposed to extreme heat, and provides limited view through the fabric.
Style 2410 has a maximum width of 98". Any roller shade with a panel width greater than the width of the fabric will be “railroaded” (fabric is turned on its side and may be seamed). Any panel with a height greater than the maximum fabric width less 5” will have one or more visible horizontal seams.
SheerWeave sun control fabrics offer an exciting new alternative to ordinary window coverings. SheerWeave’s unique light filtering qualities help reduce the fading of drapes, carpets and other interior furnishings, while continuing to offer a view to the outside. ShearWeave filters out heat and glare, while allowing natural light to enter. Unlike many fabrics, most SheerWeave fabrics allow outward visibility, even when closed.
Phifer fabrics are fire retardant and fungal and bacteria resistant.
LOVOLITE ROLLER SHADE INFORMATION:
This custom roller shade is equipped with the Louvolite roller tube and clutch system. Comprised of high quality components, this operating system is medium duty and is offered as an alternative to our heavy-duty Primo custom roller shade. (For Extra Large windows please see our Primo Rollease Shade). The Louvolite System 40 shade utilizes an aluminum roller tube that is 1 1/2" in diameter. The tube has two splines that run the full length of the tube. The splines add considerable strength to the tube which reduces deflection (sagging). Unlike shades that use glue or tape to attach the fabric to the roller tube, on the Louvolite shade the fabric is inserted into one of the splines creating a very positive, extremely durable attachment.
The Louvolite clutch has a brake which enables the roller shade to hold any desired position precisely and maintain that height with zero slippage. The shade raises and lowers smoothly and easily. No adjustments are ever needed. If a clutch does not have a brake the shade can lower by itself due to its own weight. The clutch system is operated with a #10 plastic bean chain that is actually rated to handle more weight than a steel chain. You have your choice of a black clutch and black chain or a white clutch and white chain. If you do not select a color for the clutch and chain the factory will color coordinate it for you. The controls/clutch can be placed on either side at the time of installation. However, if you order the optional fascia with the shade you must select the side on which you want the controls – right side or left side as pointed out in the options box. If you don’t select the side, the controls will be placed on the right side by the fabricator. As an option, the fascia can be wrapped with the shade’s fabric to provide a beautifully finished look to the shade. To order this option place a check in the appropriate box below. Louvolite shades also have an extruded heavy-weight aluminum hem bar which provides extra stability. The exterior of the hem bar is wrapped with the shades fabric for uniform appearance and the fabric is attached to the hem bar with a wrapped inserted spline system for extra strength. Splined aluminum bars are better than wood because aluminum does not warp.
The width of the shade with the hardware attached to the ends of the roller tube is called the “tip to tip” measurement. Please be aware that the fabric cannot be and will not be as wide as the “tip to tip” measurement. This is true for all roller shades. On all roller shades that utilize the Louvolite clutch the fabric will be approximately 1 ¼” less wide than the “tip to tip” measurement. There will be a ¾" light gap on one side and a ½" light gap on the other side. In addition to “outside mount” and “inside mount” roller shades can be ordered “cloth measurement/outside mount. Frequently, roller shades are used in conjunction with draperies and other window fashions; therefore, fascia panels are typically not included. However, facial panels can be ordered as an option. They are constructed of L shaped aluminum and available in white or bronze. The fascia panel conceals the front and bottom of the roller tube and mounting hardware and provides a very custom and clean finished look.
