This is a great shade for a nursery, or child's room or other rooms where you want to control light and glare. Or perhaps a media room or home theater. The fiberglass fabric is “No Light”, “Blackout”. “No Light, Blackout” and “Room Darkening” are terms that the industry uses for fabrics in which light doesn’t penetrate. Of course, some light will still enter from the sides, top and bottom of the shade. This fabric is 100% Polyester which has the look and feel of linen and is very popular and it has a no light backing that prevents light from penetrating the fabric. The street side of the fabric is white. This fabric is 74” wide. Shades wider than 74” will be rail - roaded and may have a horizontal seam.
This fabric is 72” wide. Shades wider than 72” will be rail - roaded and some sizes may require a seam. For a more finished custom look include a decorative hem for a small up charge. (See the options box below and click on the red question mark to see a photo of the hem).
The eleven colors we offer below are white on the street side.
Don't let the low pricing on our Budget line of custom roller shades fool you. They are quality shades. For ease of operation it comes standard with a clutch rather than spring roller. Each shade has a continuous nylon loop chain, which raises and lowers the shade when pulled in either direction. The chain is color coordinated. The clutch helps lift the shade’s weight as it is raised. The control cord always remains the same length no matter what position the shade is in which is safer for homes with children or pets. The roller tube is painted metal. The hem bar is wood. For shades up to 71 7/8” wide the roller tube is 1” in diameter. For shades 72” wide and greater the roller tube is 1 3/8” in diameter.
As standard, the controls are on the right side; however, you may select left side controls from the options box at no additional charge. To eliminate the chain you can select the Auto Stop option. For details, click on the red question mark behind Auto Stop in the options section below. To order Auto Stop with your shade check the appropriate box. A cassette valance system is available. To see an image of the cassette system click on the red question mark in the options section below. To order the cassette system with your shade, check the appropriate box below.
IMPORTANT: Concerning roller shades the width that you order is called the “tip to tip” measurement. The tip to tip measurement is the measurement from bracket to bracket after all the hardware has been placed on the roller tube. The fabric cannot be and will not be as wide as the “tip to tip” measurement. On all roller shades that have a clutch the fabric will be approximately 1 1/8” to 1 ¼” less wide than the “tip to tip” measurement. (Example: if the ordered width of the shade is 36 1/4” the fabric will be approximately 35” wide). This is true for all roller shades that are equipped with a clutch.
Please be aware that roller shades, when installed as inside mount, will have small light gaps on each side of the shade. This is necessary to accommodate the side-mounted brackets and other hardware. This is a characteristic of all roller shades regardless of the manufacturer. All roller shades that utilize a clutch will have a light gap of approximately ¾” on one side and a ½” light gap on the other side. On spring roller shades such as our Cost Cutter shade there will be a light gap of approximately 5/8” on both sides. (When measuring the windows do not make any reductions – use exact measurements. The factory will make the necessary reductions. (See instructions for measuring windows).
