Splendor light filtering fabric is a fine woven polyester fabric with a crisp, modern look. It provides privacy and a soft translucency and its odor free - non-toxic. This fabric is 94 wide. Shades wider than 94 will be rail - roaded and some sizes may require a seam. The shade has a standard plain hem only. For ease of operation the shade comes standard with a clutch rather than spring roller. Each shade has a continuous nylon loop chain which raises and lowers the shade when pulled in either direction. The clutch has a brake which keeps the shade in the desired position. The clutch helps lift the shades weight as it is raised and the control chain always remains the same length no matter what position the shade is in. The nylon chain is color coordinated. A cassette valance system is available. The cassette includes the continuous loop control chain and has a matching fabric insert. If ordering this shade for a door please note that hold down brackets are not available. Velcro can be used. IMPORTANT: Concerning roller shades the width that you order is called the tip to tip measurement. The tip to tip measurement is the measurement from bracket to bracket after all the hardware has been placed on the roller tube. The fabric cannot be and will not be as wide as the tip to tip measurement. On all roller shades that have a clutch the fabric will be approximately 1 1/8 to 1 Ό less wide than the tip to tip measurement. (Example: if the ordered width of the shade is 36 1/4 the fabric will be approximately 35 wide). This is true for all roller shades that are equipped with a clutch. So, roller shades, when installed as inside mount, will have small light gaps on each side of the shade. This is necessary to accommodate the side-mounted brackets and other hardware. This is a characteristic of all roller shades regardless of the manufacturer. All roller shades that utilize a clutch will have a light gap of approximately Ύ on one side and a ½ light gap on the other side. On spring roller shades such as our Cost Cutter shade there will be a light gap of approximately 5/8 on both sides. (When measuring the windows do not make any reductions use exact measurements. The factory will make the necessary reductions. (See instructions for measuring windows).
