This 2 ½” real wood blind is made of select top quality North American Basswood and is completely made in the USA. It is not painted or finished overseas. This is important because paint quality here in the USA is dramatically better than imported finishes and has more U.V. retardant to help eliminate fading and peeling from sun exposure. Also, this blind is totally custom – it is not a cut down blind. The High Profile head rail is made of heavy gauge steel and is the strongest available. This extra heavy duty head rail means that a blind can be made in very large sizes with one blind on the head rail rather than requiring 2 or 3 blinds on the head rail and even extra large sizes will be fully guaranteed. The heavy duty system allows us to produce a sag free head rail out to a full 50 square feet! Wood and Faux wood slats will all warp or sag without proper support but this blind is made with the most liberal ladder/tape spacing in the industry. This ladder/tape spacing virtually eliminates slat warpage and sagging. To cut production costs many competitors use lighter weight head rails and also spread the ladders and tapes further apart which can eventually cause unsightly slat sagging. The new steel capped tilter will not allow cords to unwind or tangle. Virtually fail safe. This blind comes standard with a 3" Crown Valance. Cord tilter is standard and recommended but wand tilter is available at no extra charge. Standard controls are tilt left, lift cord right. This can be reversed at no extra charge. The head rail is 2" x 2 1/2" Minimum depth required for outside mount is 7/8" Minimum flush inside mount is 3 1/2" Minimum outside mounting surface is 1 1/2" Minimum width is 7" Blinds less than 11" wide will have center tilt only with no lift mechanism and the tilter will be in the center of the head rail. |
